Mock trial is an extracurricular activity open to all middle school students. Mock trial takes place in the fall, and students meet after school hours approximately two to three times per week to learn about the mock trial process and prepare for competition. Competition is usually in early to mid-November.
In mock trial, students play the roles of attorneys and witnesses as they prepare and present both sides of a hypothetical legal problem. Mock trial helps students develop important critical thinking skills and aids in the development of fundamental research, preparation and presentation skills.
